Multi-rib belts are used to drive accessory drive components in passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Their function is to drive components such as generators, fans, water pumps, air conditioning systems, and power steering pumps. ChiBOSS offers high-quality multi-rib belts that you can trust.
The addition of fibers to CR and EPDM materials makes them more resistant to wear. The lifespan of EPDM materials is generally between 80,000 to 400,000 kilometers. We can accept small batch orders for multiple varieties. The minimum order quantity for a single specification is at least the natural quantity of one mold. Our production process focuses on grinding, and we can provide large quantities of molded products.
The belt body is made of high-quality synthetic chloroprene rubber (CR) or ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM) imported from abroad, and is equipped with various rubber accessories for different purposes. Chloroprene multi-rib belts have good cold and heat resistance. They have better bending resistance, aging resistance, and ozone resistance compared to general unsaturated rubbers. They also have good oil resistance, solvent resistance, and chemical stability. With the addition of fibers, they can withstand higher lateral pressure and reduce deformation after being subjected to force. ChiBOSS multi-rib belts have good ozone aging resistance, weather resistance, and heat aging resistance. They also have good electrical insulation, chemical corrosion resistance, and impact elasticity (good elasticity retention performance at low temperatures). The skeleton material is made of high-quality core wires of different materials, providing better power transmission efficiency. High modulus low shrinkage yarn/aramid yarn reduces the elongation of the belt during high-speed operation, and high-strength elastic yarn optimizes the gear system. The back of the belt is protected by lightweight angle cloth, and its soft top cloth improves the lateral stiffness of the belt body, protects the core wire, and withstands the friction of the tensioner at high speeds and high loads. It can adapt to temperature changes.
(1) If the multi-rib belt makes noise during use, it may be due to the following reasons: The belt is slipping and should be dried promptly. There may be foreign objects embedded in the belt grooves. Check the protective cover. The pulley installation may be misaligned. Adjust the pulley position promptly. If significant belt jumping is observed, adjust the belt tension appropriately. (2) If the multi-rib belt is damaged in a wedge shape during use, consider the following: Check if the belt pulley and belt specifications match. Check if the belt wedge surface is contaminated with solvents or other chemicals. Check the ambient temperature during belt use and improve cooling methods if necessary. The belt pulley may not meet the required process parameters or may be rusted.
